Army Public School Cannanore marked its epoch since 06 Jul 1985. The humble beginning was as a KG School under the Chairmanship of Col. Kharkhi, DSC Centre, Cannanore. The initial flame of knowledge lit on that day is directly carried to this day under the benevolence of the present Chairman Col Pushpendra Jhinkwan. Now we have on roll a total of 49 staff.
The school was upgraded to an Upper Primary School in 1990. Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) took charge of the school in 1991. Senior Secondary Status was granted to the school in 2006. Now the school has two division each at all levels with Science and Commerce stream at the Plus two level.
The aim of the school is to provide quality education at affordable cost to the children of Army personnel. The school promotes development of academic excellence, discipline, personal character, high sense of values and national integration. Each child is unique in nature. We at APS Cannanore help each child to grow at his/her own pace. About 20 hobby clubs are functioning as a part of the curriculum. Healthy competitive spirit is developed by inter house, intra house and inter Army School competitions.
